Job Skills Training

Every Renewal Program Client is also assigned to a position in Talbot House’s Job Skills Training Program. From Food Service and Culinary Arts to General Construction Services and Data Entry, our clients engage in learning several different skill sets while enrolled in the Renewal Program.

Our Renewal Program is currently focusing on expanding our Job Skills Program to provide more training opportunities. Currently, our General Construction Training Program has been engaged in building wheelchair ramps for homebound people in the community, and is completing their second Habitat for Humanity home, with plans to complete five homes in 2011. While our woodshop produces small furniture pieces and beautiful cutting boards in its Carpentry Training Program.
